How to apply for Sasta Petrol Sasta Diesel Scheme?
During the press conference, Finance Minister Miftah Ismail gave an update about the government’s relief package. He stated that those who are already registered under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) will automatically get Rs. 2,000 under the Prime Minister’s Petrol Relief Package.
SMS service has been introduced for those who are not part of the BISP. To apply for Sasta Petrol Sasta Diesel Scheme, send your Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) number to 786 to check your eligibility.
The CNIC should belong to a woman in your family. After sending the SMS, you will be informed whether you are eligible or not within three days.
How many people will benefit from Sasta Petrol Sasta Diesel Scheme?
According to Finance Minister, as many as 14 million families across Pakistan will benefit from the Petrol Relief Package.
It should be noted that out of these 14 million families, 7.3 million are already registered under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP).
“PKR 2,000 will be given in June and it will cost the government PKR 28 billion. Besides 3.3m BISP beneficiaries, this [package] covers 6.7m households with poverty scores less than 37,” finance minister said.

How to apply for Sasta Petrol Scheme?
- Send the number on their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) via SMS to 786 to sign up.
- Wait for a message from the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) that confirms the payment transfer.
- After getting the message, people who live in Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan can go to HBL, and people who live in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa (KP), Gilgit Baltistan (GB), and Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) can go to Bank Alfalah to get an Rs. 2,000 subsidies.
- About the Sasta Patrol Program:
- This help will be given to the 8 million families who have signed up for BISP Sasta Petrol Scheme (ehsaas petrol card online registration 2022). There are also 6 million unregistered families who are eligible for relief, but they must show proof that their monthly household income is less than Rs. 40,000.
Terms and Conditions:
- All people who have signed up for BISP are eligible for the relief.
- Each family will only be able to get help for one person.
- The program gives married or widowed women the most help.
- If a widowed or married woman is not available, a male representative will get a subsidy.
- Soon after registration is done, subsidies will start to be paid out.
